How To Clean White Tires

White vinegar is a magical cleaning agent, praised for its ability to dissolve mineral deposit, bacteria, dirt, grease, and grime. From descaling kettles to removing limescale, it's a natural disinfectant that is brilliant for cleaning the kitchen.

As well as being eco-friendly, it's also a great money-saving alternative. Here, Tap Warehouse shares some easy tips and tricks to help you clean your kitchen with white vinegar efficiently.

1. Remove limescale around taps

Restore the shine on your kitchen taps by giving them a good scrub with a white vinegar and water solution. Simply mix them together in equal parts and submerge your cleaning cloth into the solution. Then, use the cloth to scrub away any limescale. You'll be amazed at the results!

The team explain: 'Depending on how severe the limescale is you can soap the affected area in the white vinegar mixture for up to 30 minutes before scrubbing it away.'

2. Get rid of grease from oven racks

Oven racks naturally collect grease and grime over time. In order to get yours looking as good as new, place them in an empty tub, sprinkle baking soda over them and spray with white vinegar. According to Tap Warehouse, the baking soda and white vinegar will create a foam which will work to remove any grease.

'Set the oven racks in hot water overnight before scrubbing away any grime left on the racks with a sponge or towel in the morning. Rinse with cool water and dry before placing back in the oven.'

HB's tip.. Putting off cleaning your oven racks will only delay the inevitable, so keep on top of it to make life much easier.

3. Descale your kettle

Is a grubby kettle ruining your tea? One of the most-used appliances in the home, cleaning your kettle is vital to remove a build-up of bacteria and grime. To descale yours like a pro, use equal parts white vinegar and water to fill your kettle. Then, let it soak for up to an hour before boiling. Once it has boiled, unplug it and leave it soaking for another 15-20 minutes.

To finish, empty the kettle, rinse thoroughly with clean water and enjoy! You'll have a delicious tea in no time.

4. Clean your microwave

Get rid of those hard-to-reach stains in your microwave with a simple cleaning method. Not sure how? The team suggest: 'Add two cups of water and two tablespoons of white vinegar to a microwave safe bowl, put in the microwave for two to three minutes. Once finished, remove the bowl and wipe down any grease and dirt with a clean cloth.'

5. Don't forget those pots and pans

Restore old pots and pans by pouring equal amounts of white vinegar and water into the pan and bringing it to boil. Don't forget to leave the lid on to stop any burnt smells wafting around your home. Once it has boiled, remove the pan from the heat, add two tablespoons of baking sofa, empty, and scrub clean. You'll never throw away a burnt pan again...

6. Clean your dishwasher

Did you know you can also use grime-fighting white vinegar to clean your dishwasher? One of the most common causes of dishwasher smells comes from trapped food and grease, so cleaning it regularly is essential.

All you need to do is add 250ml of white vinegar into a dishwasher safe container (make sure you have emptied your dishwasher first). Then, set it to run for a full cycle on a high heat level. Hailed as a natural, non-toxic cleaning marvel, it will break down any food, grease, soap scum and residue stuck inside the dishwasher.

7. Remove grease from your splashback

Regularly exposed to food, grease and steam, kitchen splashbacks can regularly leave a nasty build-up of grease. 'If the backsplash is ceramic, porcelain or glass tile, white vinegar can be mixed with warm water in a spray bottle to clean away any kitchen grease or food remnants,' say the team.

8. Clean your washing machine

Are you wondering how to deep clean a washing machine? In order to efficiently remove any build-up, simply add two or four cups of white vinegar to your washing machine and let the cycle run on a high heat hot water setting. If you have the time, try doing this once a week to help keep mould and bacteria at bay.

9. Restore wooden chopping boards

If you want to restore the appearance of your chopping board, simply soak it in one-part vinegar and four parts water for a few minutes. To prevent damaging the wood, ensure you don't leave it in the water for long. Rinse off and leave to dry.

10. Clean the inside of your cupboards

It's important to clean the inside of your kitchen cupboards every few months to avoid a build-up of grease, grime, dust and food crumbs. To give yours a thorough clean, use equal parts white vinegar and warm water in a spray bottle. Then, spray the inside, wipe down, and you'll have sparkling results in no time.
